Master in Banking & Finance

The Master in Banking & Finance offers advanced training focused on principles and practices specific to the banking and finance sector, along with new industry requirements related to social responsibility and innovations driven by digital transformation (AI, big data, FinTech, cryptocurrency). This program awards the Grade of Master degree from the EBS Grande Ecole Program.

program details

The Master in Banking & Finance is based on the competency framework of the EBS Grande Ecole Program, registered in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP).

The Master in Banking & Finance provides advanced analytical skills in financial statement analysis and the assessment of financial health for companies and organizations, utilizing quantitative tools and techniques for in-depth financial data analysis, financial model development, and data-driven decision-making. It offers expert knowledge in corporate finance, including strategic financial decision-making, capital structure, dividend policy, mergers & acquisitions, and a deep understanding of various financial risks and risk mitigation techniques. The program focuses on skills needed for the banking and financial services sector, including banking operations, financial products & services, asset and liability management, and banking regulations. These skills are complemented by expertise in portfolio and asset management (investment management, portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk-adjusted return maximization) and investment evaluation (valuation techniques, cash flows, sensitivity, and risk assessment). The program also covers the use of information systems and technologies in the banking and financial services sector, alongside knowledge of financial innovations (FinTech), such as blockchain, digital payments, financial algorithms, and AI. Additionally, students develop skills to effectively communicate complex financial analyses, interact with stakeholders, understand ethical standards, government regulations, and best practices in the financial industry, as well as the ability to collaborate in project mode within a dynamic financial environment.

Each year, students in the first and second years of the Master in Banking & Finance undertake internships or work-study programs to implement the skills acquired during the program.
